Dr. Gary Cappelletti grew up in the East Bay town of Crockett and graduated from John Swett High School. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California, Riverside. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California, one of the country’s finest dental schools. To further his education, Dr. Cappelletti completed eight one-year residencies at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in conjunction with the Cranio-Mandibular Institute. He is in his ninth year of the UCSF Round Table Study Dental Group, focusing on cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and the all-new world of sleep apnea appliances. He has practiced dentistry in his own office in Danville since 1978. Our goal is to provide the absolute best possible quality of dentistry and service through using excellent materials, labs, and techniques.
Dr. Cappelletti’s practice shares in the enthusiasm and philosophy of modern dentistry. Already a perfectionist dedicated to quality care, Dr. Cappelletti has fast made a firm commitment toward cosmetic and implant dentistry — all the while keeping the sound fundamentals of general dentistry in proper focus, a crucial component to total patient dental care. His hands-on attention includes early morning hours and some Saturdays to better accommodate patients’ schedules.
Dr. Cappelletti is a member of the American Dental Society, California Dental Society, and Contra Costa Dental Society. He has been involved with the Danville Rotary since 1987 as well. He is the custodian to the Rotary Scholarship Program and the Peter Villa Award (Danville’s version of the Heisman Trophy) for the top senior football player in the San Ramon Valley. He is also very active at St. Isidore’s Church and was a previous vice president of the Parent Teacher’s Group at St. Isidore’s School.
Over the past 20 years, Dr. Cappelletti was a coach and board member with the San Ramon Valley Girls Softball Association. He was also a highly respected coach for the San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds Youth Football Program and had been the head starter for the Blackhawk Swim Team and the Monte Vista High School swim team.
His hobbies include his dogs, swimming, running, hiking, biking, sporting clays, and bird hunting. Dr. Cappelletti lives in nearby Alamo with his lovely and charming wife, Marilyn, and daughters Randi, Georgi, Bari, and son A.J. His pets include three dogs and four cats.
